Tiny Seeds of Joy - Review

I came across this lovely shop recently opened on Etsy called Tiny Seeds of Joy which is a perfect name for this shop and the beautiful little handmade buttons. The owner  Janet collects the seeds from the woods and lanes surrounding her home in the South West of France, she then sorts and drys them before pouring the resin into the moulds and has several various shaped buttons to choose from. Each button therefore is unique in it's own right. Janet sent me a couple of buttons to try out and they were not only beautifully presented,  they were also hand stitched on to a card and are in my opinion exactly what she says they are Tiny seeds of Joy. As Janet states, they are "a little work of art to bring beauty and authenticity to your work"

I used the trefoil buttons on a wrist pin cushion and needle holder. What would you use them for? I can see many more possibilities. Janet is also working on  pendants and earrings to add to her collection and will be listing soon. Here are just a  few of her buttons.

Taking the Old Girl Out

We decided to take the old girl out (our vintage camper) for a run out as she has just past her M.O.T. and I mean just!!!! She is 27 years young, so we were delighted and  had in our minds to head for Aubrac but on route found ourselves in a small village called Muret Le Chateau. We stopped and decided to have a walk round the village and wow what a fabulous happy little place. Outside houses, under via ducts and on balconies, various figures which looked like they were made from paper mache were dotted throughout  the village. Not a soul to be seen though to ask what they were all about. Have since tried to find some information but failed.  We then moved on to Villecomtal where we spent a couple of nights but will tell you about that later. xx

Whew!.. and it's only Wednesday

Been a busy few weeks with one thing and another, have been working both inside and outside as the weather here has turned cooler and makes working in the garden a pleasure again. So a few random pictures of my week so far, and it's not finished yet. So far this week....

Love working this Jacquard Silk, and is now in my Etsy shop

More gorgeous Jacquard woven silk, soft coral colour with smoke blue & oyster colour flower sprigs, the vintage scalloped lace finishes it off beautifully.

My grandson Archie with a kissing Dolphin
Custom order and this is a first for me to make pin cushions for a wedding

I think these would make great cushions

Some gorgeous Spider webs around the garden lately

Fir tree cones are massed this year

And an old chandelier that was black and sitting doing nothing, so I stripped the wires and

then I painted it a lead grey and added a few solar lights. Looks great at night and OH is going to make me a stand for it. Some day soon I hope.
